Belmont Rotary is an international service organization based twenty miles south of San Francisco. Several members will be assisting the Genoa Services with administrative matters and monitoring the collection of donations for this non-profit to begin purchasing equipment for beta testing with 10 volunteers in the Bay area in the next few months. After the successful completion of the beta testing, the protocol can be duplicated and promoted by Rotary clubs around the world to serve the sight impaired persons in their local communities. Over $7,000 towards our goal of $18,000 has been raised by San Francisco area Rotary clubs to cover the cost of the initial beta testing.

The Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors is a non profit 501(c)3 organization based out of Pier 40, San Francisco. The philosophy behind BAADS is "co-ability"; pairing people with "complimentary" disabilities; so two people, working together, can perform as one. For example, pairing a blind sailor with a sighted paraplegic sailor to enter a sailing race. Ed Gallagher is the current Commodore of this non profit organization.
